Opened in 1992, the Manaslu Conservation area is one of the most sought-after trekking regions! Especially the Manaslu Circuit trek. With a chance to see over 10 peaks above 6,000m (19,685ft)! The trek starts off similar to the Tsum Valley trek, with a drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola. From here the Manaslu trail begins and we spend the first few days trekking along the Budi Gandaki River. From the town of Jagat, we head northwest towards Deng and make our way further up to Samagaun. The Manaslu Circuit trek requires acclimatization in order to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness and that’s what we’ll do at Samagaun. A few more days of trekking take us to Larkya Base Camp (4,460m/14,628ft). This is our last stop before crossing the famous Larkya La Mountain Pass at 5,170m (16,962ft)! The views are absolutely stunning from up there. And you’ll be able to see some of the highest mountains in the world. After crossing the Pass we descend down to Bhimtang and make our way to the Annapurna Conservation Area. The trail descends all the way down to Bhulbhule from where we catch a ride back to Kathmandu. Although the trekking part of the Manaslu Circuit trek is over, Royal Himalayan Holidays takes you on a sightseeing tour through Kathmandu to see some of its most famous landmarks.
