Starting off in Kathmandu the Cable Car tour's first stop is sightseeing at the famous Palace or Durbar Square. This place is locally known as Basantapur and is just a maze of alleys and main roads leading to ancient temples and palace buildings. In the afternoon we make our way back through the famous Bishal Bazaar and Kathmandu’s main shopping street. The next day we drive to the foot of the Chandragiri Hills and take a cable car up the hill. The views are just breathtaking, as you’ll see the entire Kathmandu valley from a bird's-eye view. You can really imagine the valley being a lake centuries ago! In the afternoon we head for the famous Monkey Temple the Swayambhunath Stupa. It’s a short climb up some steep steps, but definitely worth it. The white stupa resembles peace and standing on the hill, that’s exactly what you’ll experience. Arriving at Nagarkot just in time for the sunset we overnight here, and catch the sunrise view as well in the morning. To conclude the cable car tour we drive back to Kathmandu.
